The Unison EvBend range of 3-axis tube bending machines is the modern evolution of the original Silkmead tube benders – trusted for decades in aerospace and precision engineering.
Following Unison Ltd’s acquisition of Silkmead, the technology was re-engineered and refined into today’s EvBend 1000 and its larger sibling, the EvBend 2000.
Designed for low-volume, high-accuracy production and prototyping, Unison EvBend machines are relied upon across the aerospace, MRO, Formula 1 and oil & gas industries for precision bending of tube up to 50 mm in diameter.
While manually operated (with servo-assist on the 50 mm), all three bending axes are CNC-controlled via encoders and progressive electromagnetic brakes – delivering consistent, repeatable results at a fraction of the cost of fully automated bending machines.
The EvBend system features a PC-based 15” touchscreen CNC interface, capable of storing infinite parts, processing up to 1,000 bends per component and integrating with CAD and most tube measuring systems.
