Job description

To support the Sales Director in the day-to-day operational management of the sales process, reading RFQs and putting Technical Quotations together, and helping the Sales Team keep on the road as much as possible.

Working with an established customer database and a large quantity of leads and enquiries; the role will require an appreciation of Engineering processes and terms.

Key Objectives:

  • First line support for experienced sales team
  • Disseminate, delegate and prepare detailed documentation to support bids/tenders for complex machine tool enquiries
  • Monitor Sales & Service Team’s relevant targets & KPIs and manage associated internal processes (i.e. meetings, reports, dashboards).
  • Provide administrative support to wider Sales team in relation to RFQs and Quotations, Customer Orders and Project updates
  • Maintain accurate records of accounts, quotes, projects, contacts and correspondence in CRM
  • Establish cost estimates of production processes and tooling costs and review alternatives or put forward recommendations for improvement when necessary
  • Help map & organise sales trips
  • Produce sales, spares & tooling quotations for customers in a clear, detailed and accurate manner where required
  • Adopt a flexible approach to workload and assume new responsibilities where appropriate.

Personal Specification:

  • Bachelor’s degree related to business, or equivalent experience
  • Engineering and Bid experience and attention to detail essential
  • Ability to read CAD drawings essential
  • Customer focused with good communication skills
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to use initiative and problem solve
  • Strong computer skills, which includes proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Ability to create effective partnerships at all levels of an organisation
  • Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
  • Ability to adapt in a continually changing business and work environment
  • Experience with CRM system(s) would be advantageous but not essential as training will be provided

Pay: £32,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
