About Unison:

Scarborough based Unison Ltd is a highly successful manufacturer of CNC tube bending machines and industrial engineering solutions, suppling high end products to a world market, in sectors including Aerospace, Automotive and Marine.

We currently have a vacancy for a Control Systems Designer to further strengthen our electrical team. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with good communication skills and at least 5 years’ experience in a similar field.

The position is based at our manufacturing facility in Scarborough. This is a full-time salary-based role. We offer a 39-hour week 7.45am – 4:45pm Monday to Thursday, with an early finish at 1pm Friday.

Responsibilities

• Ensure conformance with customer specification.
• Ensure conformance with machinery directive legislation.
• Create parts lists (BOM’s)
• Create electrical schematics and manufacturing drawing packs.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure efficient working methods.
• Provide commissioning and fault-finding guidance to service teams.
• Provide remote customer support.

Qualifications / Experience

• Minimum level 3 qualification in related discipline or HNC.
• At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
• 3 phase power circuits.
• 24Vdc control circuits.
• Machine safety systems.
• Servo motion & PLC programming experience would be an advantage.

Hours: 39 hours

Salary: Best rates of pay for the right individual.

Holidays: 32 days a year inclusive of public / bank holidays
